FAQ

Real questions, plain answers.

If your question isn't here, email info@circleit.app — we read every one.

Is circleit really free?
Yes. Free forever for individuals — no credit card, no trial timer, no surprise paywall. Team and business features (multi-staff, SMS, payments, custom branding) will be paid later, but the individual plan stays free. See /pricing.
Does it sync with Google Calendar?
Yes. circleit reads your Google free/busy to know when you're already booked, and writes new bookings as events to your calendar. The attendee gets a standard Google calendar invite. See what circleit sees below for the privacy details.
Can I embed it on Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, Webflow, or Shopify?
Yes, all of them. circleit is one line of HTML; it works in any site builder that lets you paste HTML. Step-by-step install guides: Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, Webflow, Shopify.
Do my customers need a circleit account to book?
No. Visitors don't sign up, log in, or create anything. They pick a time, enter their name and email, and they're booked. The whole flow is under a minute.
Can people cancel or reschedule?
Yes. Every confirmation email includes signed cancel and reschedule links. The attendee clicks, picks a new time, the booking updates, and the change syncs to your Google Calendar. No account or login required.
What calendar data does circleit actually see?

Only two things: (1) your free/busy time ranges (which slots are taken, with no details on what they're for); and (2) the events circleit itself created (so we can update or cancel them). We never see the titles, attendees, locations, or contents of events created by you or other apps. The OAuth scopes we request are calendar.freebusy and calendar.events.owned — the narrowest scopes Google offers for this job.

Does it handle timezones correctly?
Yes. All times are stored in UTC; the attendee sees them in their browser's timezone, you see them in yours. Daylight Saving Time transitions are explicitly handled — invalid times during spring-forward are excluded from availability, ambiguous times during fall-back are normalized. (This is the boring engineering work that most scheduling tools get wrong; we wrote test cases for it before any UI shipped.)
What happens if my Google Calendar gets disconnected?
We email you immediately with a one-click reconnect link, and your dashboard shows a persistent banner. Existing bookings stay in your circleit dashboard; new bookings on your public page are blocked until you reconnect (no one can book a time we can't sync). Reconnecting backfills any pending sync attempts.
Will there be a paid plan?
Yes, for teams and businesses. Multi-staff scheduling, SMS reminders, payment collection via Stripe, custom branding (remove "powered by"), round-robin. Pricing TBD; we'll announce 30 days before charging anyone. The individual plan stays free.
Can I use circleit for photography, coaching, salons, consulting?
Yes — that's exactly who it's built for. Anyone who needs a booking button on their existing site without configuring a workspace product. See industry guides for photographers, personal trainers, consultants, and coaches.
What about Outlook or iCloud calendar?
Not in v0. Google Calendar only at launch. Outlook, iCloud, and CalDAV are on the v1 roadmap. If your calendar provider matters to you, email info@circleit.app — what people ask for shapes what we build next.
Is there an API?
Not in v0. We'll add a public API after the widget has real users and we understand what people actually want to automate. If you have a specific integration in mind, email info@circleit.app.
